Men’s Lacrosse: Terriers Dominate Raiders on the Road

Boston University improved to 7-0 on Monday afternoon with an 18-7 thrashing of Colgate that included a 14 goal run after the Raiders had opened up a 1-0 lead. BU is now 2-0 in Patriot League play.

Ryan Hillburn scored three times while tallying twice were John MacLean, Mike Laviano, Adam Schaal, and Michael Carbone. Other goal scorers included Cal Dearth, James Burr, Henry Lee, Allen Winkoff, Ryan Johnston, Hayden Ruiz, and Brendan Homire.

It is the second time this season BU has scored 18 goals after they did it at UMass Lowell in their second contest of the season.

BU committed just ten turnovers while Colgate gave up the ball 18 times, and the Terriers won the ground ball battle 37-28.

Christian Carson-Banister started in net and made eight saves while giving up three goals. Joe McSorley made one save in 12:14 of action, while Sean McGovern played for just over one minute of play.

The Terriers continue conference play on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field where they will host Bucknell.
