Men’s Ice Hockey: Lowell Finishes BU, 5-0

By: WTBU Sports

The UMass-Lowell Riverhawks completed a series sweep of the BU Terriers with a 5-0 victory on Saturday.

Lowell wasted no time getting on the board as Jake Kamrass scored 3:07 into the contest. Kamrass assisted on the second Lowell goal, resulting in BU goalie Sean Maguire getting pulled.

C.J. Smith would score twice before John Edwardh added the dagger to Lowell’s victory.

The Terriers’ season has yet to end, as they are high enough in the pairwise rankings to secure an NCAA Tournament bid. The selection show will be a week from Sunday at noon.

If the season were to end today, BU would likely be given a third seed.
