Women’s Soccer

BU defeated Lafayette 4-0 on Saturday in Easton, PA to stay unbeaten in Patriot League competition. Four different players scored for the Terriers as they easily rolled past the Leopards. BU will host Lehigh next Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Men’s Ice Hockey

BU, after falling behind early and leading at the start of the third period, allowed three goals over the final twenty minutes, losing their season opener to Union 5-3. It was the first season opening loss for the Terriers since the start of 2009-10 season when BU fell to UMass-Amherst 3-2. Freshmen Ryan Cloonan and Charlie McAvoy netted their first career goals.

BU will return home next weekend to host the U.S. Under-18 Team in an exhibition on Friday at 7:30 p.m. before returning to regular season action the next night when Wisconsin visits Agganis Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Field Hockey

The Duke Blue Devils topped the Terriers in overtime of a 1-0 thriller Sunday. It was the first time the Terriers were shut out this season. Duke scored in the 83rd minute of the contest. BU will travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to face Lehigh next Saturday at 12:00 p.m.BU 10-10
